The Wilson School District takes pride in its technology education program. Focused on providing students with technical skill sets for college, trade school, or the work force, Wilson offers a wide variety of classes to give students the oppurtunity to aquire these skills.
Wilson gives students the oppurtunity to work hands on with the newest technologies. Wilson currently has 3 computer labs dedicated to technology education. One of these classrooms is fully outfitted with 14 Apple iMac computers, where students learn video and audio production. There are also 3 engineering labs where students learn the principles of engineering.
With over 550 students participating in the program, it's no wonder that a few of them would be highly skilled in their area of study. You can see some of their work on the featured page.
Visit the Technology Student Association (TSA) page for more information on Wilson's TSA chapter. There is also information about the design of this website, and technological research on the history of the internet called "The Internet Then & Now".
Wilson School District's Race to the Top Video

Wilson School District is a certified Project Lead the Way (PLTW) school. Project Lead the Way is a national program designed to encourage and prepare students for the fields of engineering and technology. Through this curriculum, students are exposed to a rigorous, hands-on learning experience. Students learn theory which allows them to solve technological problems in an innovative way. Students learn to use the design process to develop new and innovated ways to solve challenges; and students develop prototypes to learn materials processes and test their designs.
Wilson offers a Gateway to Technology class to introduce students in the Junior High School to PLTW. In High School students can take a variety of engineering classes including: Principles of Engineering, Introduction to Engineering Design, Digital Electronics, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Engineering Design and Development.
Students who are interested in the Project Lead the Way program are encouraged to take as many of the courses as possible. Click here to enter the Wilson Engineering Academy. If you have questions about Project Lead the Way or Wilson's Engineering Academy, please contact Mr. Dennes.

Wilson School District is largely involved in academic competitions to give students an ability to compete and test their abilities.
Currently the Wilson School District competes in the Pennsylvania Computer Fair and Technology Student Association, where students compete in Graphic Design, Logo Design, Website Design, Video Production, as well as other categories.
In 2008 Wilson's Mitch Rozetar won first place as best actor in the
state 4500 DVC competition. Mitch also won first place at the Comcast
Ace competition and the
PA Computer Fair.
Other students who have competed in the past few years have also won awards, and we encourage any students interested in competing to contact Mr.Trickett.
